A FREE service of the 9 Lessons & Carols

starting at 7.30pm

 

What are the 9 Lessons?

This is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus. The story of the fall of humanity the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols and hymns.

 

We will be joined by The Two Rivers Choir, who are in their fourth year of singing together and have sung at fundraising concerts, flower festivals and recently in Quarry Wood.

Light refreshments will be available.

Christmas Concert starting at 7pm

 

A Christmas Concert Like No Other!

Come and see our Christmas Concert where a host of talented local people will be singing carols, performing poetry and proes  and a whole lot more.

 

Performances we have booked so far include:

  • Saxophone and flute trio
  • Soloist singer
  • Poetry Jokes
  • Community singing

Calling for all bids!

Some generous local people have donated some fantastic items for us to auction at the Christmas Concert, including; a Christmas pudding, a hamper, an original photograph by Mick Doyle, a unique wood turning ornament by Helen Clark, Christmas meat pack from Lilcott Farm, a plant from Albion Plants and a fine art print by Martin Townsend.

Tickets for our Christmas Concert are £5 per adult and will be available to purchase from: The Community Shop & Cafe, The Post Office and St Mary's Church.

 

On Saturday 22nd we will also have a visit from Father Christmas who will be sat in his grotto and happy have his photograph taken with the Children.

 

Light refreshments will be available.
